Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, display name, email address, and profile picture. We store this to create and identify your account.

We also collect data you provide when using the service: project names, locale file content, translation strings, and glossary entries. We store this to power the translation features you've configured.

2. How we use your information

  • To authenticate you and manage your account
  • To provide translation, review, and CI/CD features
  • To send transactional emails (onboarding, billing receipts)
  • To improve the product using anonymized usage analytics
  • To process payments via Stripe

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Langhub:

  • GitHub OAuth — authentication
  • Neon — database hosting (your data is stored in PostgreSQL)
  • OpenAI — AI-powered translation (your strings are sent to OpenAI's API)
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • PostHog — product analytics (anonymized usage events)
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We only share data with them as necessary to deliver the service.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We also use cookies for analytics (PostHog). You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the service.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at hello@langhub.io. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), secure token storage, and access controls. We never store your GitHub OAuth tokens beyond what is required for the GitHub App integration.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use of Langhub after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
